JOHN WALSHE
As MD since 1985, John is the man behind Callan Bacon. He has nearly thirty years experience in the sector and is a qualified chartered accountant. John holds post grad diplomas in several key areas of strategic business management, including International Selling and Research and Development. He has also worked in senior roles in multinationals across Europe and South Africa.
PAUL WALSHE
As our Business Development Manager, Paul is responsibile for marketing and market development. With a Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies specialising in Marketing, he also has substantial experience in the bacon processing sector and has held senior sales and marketing management roles abroad for many years.
DERMOT RYAN
Performing the role of sales manager, Dermot brings a wealth of experience and specific qualifications. He holds a degree in Food Business as well as a post grad in International selling. He also has over 12 years experience in the food industry and spent nine years working with one of the premium FMCG companies in Ireland and the UK.
GERALDINE CLOHESSY FCA
Geraldine has 30 years’ management experience in the meat industry and has been a director of Callan Bacon since 1984. With ultimate responsibility for product safety, legal issues and quality at director level, Geraldine is also a HACCP team member and our in-house quality assurance director.
COLM DEEGAN
Colm joined Callan Bacon in 2001 and is currently the operations manager. He has performed similar key roles in other leading companies in the industry and brings with him vital experience in the area of yields and margins control. Colm has responsibility for product safety, legal issues and quality in operations. With 21 years’ experience in the meat industry, Colm has been an asset to Callan Bacon since 2001.
PAT O'CONNOR
Pat is our engineering manger and brings a wealth of experience to the role. A manufacturing industry professional with over 20 years’ experience, Pat provides insight and expertise in this important role. An engineering graduate, he also has 12 years’ specific experience in the food and pharmaceutical industry.
GERALDINE CURRAN
Geraldine works as a senior accountant in Callan Bacon and has substantial experience in the sector. She is qualified as an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountant (ACMA) and has been working in key financial roles for more than 15 years. Geraldine joined us in 2000.
